You are selling your property and have decided you’d like to have it professionally staged. So, when is the best time to engage your professional Home Staging Company?
When you decide to put your house on the market, there is often a big list of ‘to-dos’.
These can include tasks such as, decluttering inside and out, general property maintenance – some jobs big, some jobs small, and of course, selecting your Real Estate Sales Agent. So, at what point do you contact a professional home staging company?
Lisa Taylor, Crave Home Staging Systems Administration Officer, suggests that whilst staging is the last piece in the puzzle, it is best to reach out as early as possible in the process.
“Staging needs to take place when the property is sales-ready, but before the property photography and the first home open. That’s why it is ideal to have your staging company booked and onboard from the get-go, four–six weeks out from your sales campaign start date, if possible.
“This allows the styling team to visit the property and provide a formal quote. This can all be done whilst your property is being prepared for sale. In Crave’s case, as soon as you have approved the quote and provided a 25% deposit, your job can be locked in, and the date and furnishings secured,” Lisa said.
Whilst this is critical in the peak selling months – traditionally Spring and Summer, it is recommended that even outside of the peak periods, you engage staging early.
“For peace of mind, we’d recommend the earlier you can book in your professional staging company, the better,” Lisa said.
